Ruud van Nistelrooy: I still haven’t spoke to Ruben Amorim & don’t know what the future holds
Ruud van Nistelrooy has revealed he has not not been in contact with Ruben Amorim as uncertainty continues around his position at Manchester United.
The Dutchman is in charge of the team on an interim basis over the next two days until Amorim takes over on a permanent basis next week. Van Nistelrooy has been open about his desire to remain with the club going forward and stay part of the new coaching team.

“No, I didn’t have contact so far. There’s no changes in that I don’t know when yet,” Van Nistelrooy revealed ahead of Thursday’s Europa League clash against PAOK.
“It’s difficult to comment on that now, I’m waiting for conversations to take place,” he added. “In the meantime the most important thing for this club is getting the work done on a daily basis and in the game coming up tomorrow.
“It’s a European night at Old Trafford against the Greek champion, second in the league currently. I feel the responsibility to do well over the next week and that’s my job. I’m focused on that. As I said, I welcome Ruben, I’m happy to help him and that’s the situation for the moment.”

United head into the Europa League game sitting in 21st place in the 36-game league, having drawn all three of their opening games in the competition this season.
