Ruud van Nistelrooy handed handed injury boost as three Manchester United players return to training
Manchester United were handed a major injury boost on Wednesday as three players returned to training ahead of the Europa League clash against PAOK.
Most notably, Leny Yoro was involved in team training, the first time he’s been seen since suffering a metatarsal fracture during the summer. Yoro sustained the problem in a pre-season friendly against Arsenal and therefore hasn’t played a competitive game for the club since his arrival for a fee of up to £59m.

Hide AdYoro returned to individual training on the grass last month, but his appearance with the squad on Wednesday was another significant milestone in his recovery. It’s not clear when the Frenchman will be available for selection, but it seems unlikely he’ll play any part for Ruud van Nistelrooy during his final two matches in charge of the team.
There was more good news on Wednesday as Christian Eriksen and Antony were back in training. The pair have missed both of Van Nistelrooy’s first two games as interim boss due to knocks, but could be back for Thursday’s clash against PAOK. Youngsters Daniel Armer and Jack Kingdon also took part in the session.
Elsewhere, Marcus Rashford was seen training by himself at Carrington but did return to the main group later. The 27-year-old started in the weekend draw against Chelsea and didn’t appear to be in any discomfort when he was withdrawn in the latter stages
Van Nistelrooy is likely to give an update in Tuesday’s press conference ahead of an important game. The Red Devils have drawn all three games in Europe this season and currently sit 21st in the Europa League table.
