Manchester United star steps up injury recovery - could be available for Ruben Amorim’s first game
Mason Mount has stepped up his recovery from injury and has resumed full training.
The Manchester United midfielder has not played for the club since sustaining a head injury in the 3-0 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur at the end of September and has subsequently missed the last seven games.

Mount has struggled with injury since joining United for a fee of £55m in the summer of 2023. The ex-Chelsea man missed three games with a hamstring injury earlier this season, prior to the head injury, while he made just 20 appearances in his maiden campaign for the Red Devils due to three separate issues.
He’ll be hoping to put that behind him as United begin a new era under Ruben Amorim. While it’s not clear if Mount will be available to feature in Ruud van Nistelrooy’s final two matches against PAOK and Leicester City, he should be an option to face Ipswich Town after Amorim takes charge.
The incoming United boss begins his premiership next Monday, 13 days before his first game in charge takes place at Portman Road. After that, United face Bodø/Glimt, Everton, Arsenal and Nottingham Forest.
While Mount closes in on a return, United currently remain without the injured Harry Maguire, Leny Yoro, Luke Shaw, Tyrell Malacia, Kobbie Mainoo, Christian Eriksen and Antony.
