Ruben Amorim's first Manchester United training squad as 16-year-old star included

Man Utd trained for the first time under Ruben Amorim and here are the players who were involved in the session.

Manchester United used a blend of youth and experience as they took part in their first training session under new head coach Ruben Amorim.

Due to visa restrictions, Amorim has had to wait until his second week in the role before he was allowed to take charge of club training as he gears his side up to face Ipswich Town in the Premier League this weekend.

United are without a host of first-team stars due to their international commitments, though there were still 10 senior outfield players at Amorim's disposal when his side took to the training pitches on Monday morning.

There was a huge fitness boost as Kobbie Mainoo, Amad Diallo, Luke Shaw, Tyrell Malacia and Leny Yoro all trained following their respective injury issues. They were joined by Marcus Rashford, Casemiro, Mason Mount, Antony and Jonny Evans, as well as experienced goalkeeper Tom Heaton.

Lisandro Martinez and Victor Lindelof were both also back at Carrington for assessment and treatment, after dropping out of international duty due to injury. Neither of them were involved in the session as Amorim sweats on their fitness ahead of the weekend.

It meant there was plenty of opportunity for youth involvement with 16-year-old defender Godwill Kukonki, 17-year-old defender Daniel Armer and 18-year-old winger Ashton Missin all included in the session.
