Manchester United duo use same exciting word to describe first Ruben Amorim training session
Man Utd head coach Ruben Amorim took charge of first-team training on Monday.
Ruben Amorim has already made a positive impression on Manchester United players after he took charge of his first training session on Monday.
The 39-year-old was unable to do any work on the training ground as he awaited his visa approval last week, but wasted no time getting onto the training pitches at the start of his second week in the job.
Amorim is without a number of star players who are currently away on international duty, though he still has some huge names to work with in the likes of Marcus Rashford and Casemiro.
The duo were both involved in the first training session under the new head coach and took to social media shortly afterwards to share a short but sweet verdict on their new boss. Rashford uploaded to his Instagram story, with the caption 'top session today', while Casemiro wrote on X: “top training.”
United confirmed only 10 senior first-team squad members took part in the training session, which was heavily supplemented with academy players who had been recommended to him. Kobbie Mainoo, Amad Diallo, Luke Shaw, Tyrell Malacia and Leny Yoro all took part in the session after recent injury issues, while Jonny Evans, Mason Mount, Antony and Tom Heaton were also included.
There was also plenty of excitement as 16-year-old defender Godwill Kukoni took part in the senior training session amid their injury shortage in defence. The teenager has played eight times for the U18s so far this season and can play at centre-back as well as left-back.
