Ruben Amorim has already dropped hint about his first Manchester United line up

The early team news as Man Utd face Ipswich Town in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.

Ruben Amorim has already suggested his Manchester United selection will not be radical when they face Ipswich Town in his first match in charge this weekend.

The Portuguese head coach is expected to implement his new 3-4-3 formation from the off at Portman Road, though there are some doubts about the suitability of United's current squad to his precise tactical demands.

United don't have any natural fits to occupy the two wing-back roles, nor do they have many central defenders match fit to play in the three centre-back positions required. There are also concerns about the lack of quality up front given Rasmus Hojlund's continued struggles in attack.

Amorim has played down the worries though, and suggests that while the starting line up against Ipswich might not seem too different from an Erik ten Hag side, they will be tasked with doing very different things on the pitch.

"As a coach you have to choose one way or another, I choose always 100 percent our way," he told reporters when asked if the current group of players could play his style of football. "I choose to risk a bit. I believe so much in our way of playing, they will believe too. There is no second way. We will adapt some players because we don’t have a different profile. Maybe on Sunday you will see the starting 11 and not feel a lot of change but you will see it in the game and the positioning or where they receive the ball."
