Premier League rivals 'interested' in Man Utd star who could cost club £35m loss - Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe also keen
Manchester United are still looking to sell a number of first team players this summer.
Manchester United have put the wheels firmly in motion for their summer spending, having already secured the signing of Joshua Zirkzee, and the arrival of Leny Yoro now imminent following his successful medical.

Other targets are also on Erik ten Hag’s radar but there is more business to be done than just recruitment. Following their disappointing 2023/24 Premier League finish, the Red Devils are looking at a major squad restructure, with reports recently claiming the club are open to offers for the majority of the first team.
A number of players are currently in a grey area, having been linked with summer exits but with no major transfer links on the table yet. Aaron Wan-Bissaka is one man who could be headed for the door, with talkSPORT recently reporting that United are looking for at least £15 million for the sale of the full-back.
Telegraph Sport has also reported that West Ham have now entered the race for Wan-Bissaka’s signature as they push to add more defensive reinforcements to their roster. The Irons have already splashed out £40million on Maximilian Kilman from Wolves and have also agreed a season-long loan deal with Nice for the popular Jean-Clair Todibo. The 24-year-old will move to the Premier League for the 2024/25 season, with an option to buy of around the £27million mark next year.
Wan-Bissaka is the next target on the radar and with his contract at Old Trafford expiring in less than 12 months, United are looking to cash in before they risk losing him for free. West Ham aren’t the only club keen on his signature either, though. Turkish clubs Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe are both keeping tabs on the 26-year-old but the report from the Telegraph says it ‘remains to be seen’ whether Wan-Bissaka is willing to leave this year.
The defender had a mixed 2023/24 season, missing a chunk of action through two separate injury issues. He did enjoy 20 Premier League starts and a regular presence during United’s FA Cup winning run, but he remains a figure the club are willing to cash in on.
If Wan-Bissaka does not want to leave, United run the high risk of losing him as a free agent next year. However, regardless of the outcome, they are set to make a significant loss on the former exciting prospect. The Reds paid £50 million to sign Wan-Bissaka from Crystal Palace back in 2019, sparking a debate among fans over who was the better right-back between him and Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold.
If United accept their minimum ask of £15million, they will record a hefty loss of £35 million for Wan-Bissaka. While disappointing, they cannot afford to be picky with his contract drawing to a close. The United star has made 190 appearances in red since leaving Selhurst Park, but his stock has dipped over recent years. With Ratcliffe looking to make ruthless calls within the team to build the best possible squad for next season, Wan-Bissaka has been on the chopping block for a while, but will they receive an offer suitable enough to cash in this summer? United’s expectation is that the 26-year-old will bring in ‘significant Premier League interest’ this window, which is realistically their last chance to cash in for a decent amount.
