Hide AdDorgu is expected to arrive in Manchester on Saturday afternoon where he will undergo a medical ahead of his official unveiling over the weekend. The Danish full-back is expected to be at Old Trafford when United host Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon, though he is not eligible to feature in the match.
What Patrick Dorgu said
Dorgu was spotted arriving at an airport early on Saturday morning before boarding a flight to Manchester. As he made his way into the terminal, he was filmed by journalists who quizzed him on his upcoming move to the Premier League.
In a brief interaction with the press, Dorgu simply stated: “Manchester is a great opportunity." Dorgu was an unused substitute as Lecce defeated Parma 3-1 on Friday night to boost their hopes of survival in Serie A this season.
Speaking after the win, Lecce boss Marco Giampaolo confirmed the defender would travel to Manchester this weekend. "It's true, Patrick Dorgu will be flying to Manchester on Saturday," Giampaolo said. "He's a fantastic player and guy. He always did his best for us. I didn't play him tonight as his mind could be already there, Old Trafford."

Premier League rules state clubs must register new players before midday on the last working day before they play in a match, which is Friday for weekend matches. It means that although United don't face Palace until 2pm GMT on Sunday, they can only select players who were officially registered with the club by midday on Friday 31 January.
United are back in action when they host Leicester City in the FA Cup fourth round next week and any signing completed in the January transfer window will be eligible to feature. The 20-year-old will hope for a place on the bench at the very least next Friday night, while he could even be handed a first start for the club as Amorim looks to integrate his new signing as quickly as possible. Dorgu is viewed as a player who could revolutionise United's tactical approach under Amorim, with the hope he will bring balance to their side and contribute to attacking play as much as defence. His arrival will allow Diogo Dalot to occupy the right wing-back role, with Noussair Mazraoui viewed as suitable cover for either flank.
