Manchester United were beaten 3-1 away at Arsenal over the weekend. The Red Devils have lost both of their games on their travels so far this season.

Defender wanted

Besiktas are interested in signing Eric Bailly from United, as reported by Turkish news outlet Milliyet (via Sport Witness). The 29-year-old, who is an Ivory Coast international with 49 caps under his belt so far in his career, has entered the final 12 months of his contract at Old Trafford. He has fallen down the pecking order and spent time away on loan last term in France with Marseille to get some game time.

Club decided against addition

FC Lorient decided against signing Donny van de Beek in the last transfer window. As per L’Equipe, the Ligue 1 outfit were keen on landing him but ultimately made the decision to pull the plug on any potential deal. The Dutchman stayed put beyond the deadline but is out of favour at this moment in time.

Departed man still wanted

Ipswich Town are keen on landing Axel Tuanzebe following exit from United. Their boss Kieran McKenna hasn’t ruled out the possibility of signing him on a free transfer.

He has told the East Anglian Daily Times: “Axel’s a player I know very well, a player of real high pedigree. He’s someone that we’re speaking to at the moment. He is not fully returned from his (back) injury yet, so we’re continuing to have discussions with him as that process goes on.

“There’s not too much more I can add at the moment. We’ve got a space in our squad available and Axel’s a free agent and a tremendous player, who has played at higher levels and would be attractive to any club, certainly at this level.”
