Newcastle v Man Utd team news as eight ruled out, two are doubts and seven return - gallery

The Red Devils will meet Eddie Howe’s side just over a month since they met in the Carabao Cup Final.

Erik ten Hag has revealed Manchester United have received a major boost ahead of their trip to top four rivals Newcastle United on Sunday afternoon.

The Red Devils boss has confirmed forward duo Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial will both return to contention as their side look to strengthen their grip on a Champions League place by replicating the Carabao Cup Final win they enjoyed over Eddie Howe’s men last month.

It wasn’t all good news for Ten Hag as a number of his players were ruled out, leaving him to make some big calls before naming his starting eleven at St James Park. The same can be said of his opposite number as Eddie Howe is without Paraguayan winger Miguel Almiron but will be able to call upon the services of several players that will return to contention.

ManchesterWorld takes a look at the latest team news from both sides ahead of Sunday’s eagerly-anticipated clash on Tyneside.
