"My dream is Manchester United" - Serie A striker reveals Old Trafford transfer wish

Man Utd could be on on the lookout for a new striker next summer in the next stage of their rebuild.

Playing for Manchester United is the childhood dream of many people and one Serie A striker shares the desires of one day calling Old Trafford his home.

He might not be a well-known name yet, but Lecce striker Nikola Krstovic hopes if he is a success in Italy he could eventually catch the eye of United and fulfil that ambition.

Krstovic only joined the Italian side a year ago, in a €3.9 million deal last summer from Slovak side Dunajska Streda and has netted nine goals in 41 games to date.

This season, he already has two goals as well as an assist for national side Montenegro in their recent Nations League defeat to Wales over the international break.

The 24-year-old is well aware of all the hard work he has to do yet, but he hasn't shied away from the fact his long-term ambition is to one day play for United.

“After the match against Torino he (Mirko Vucinic) told me ‘think about the next one’. Where would I never play? In Bari. My dream is Manchester United,” he told TeleRoma. “It’s only the second year here in Lecce. I am very happy, both me and my family. We have friends and we’re enjoying it, so let’s think about the present.”

United added to their attacking line with the summer signing of Joshua Zirkzee but are likely to add to their attack again next year.
