Mount, Mainoo, Shaw - Manchester United latest injury news and return dates with two set to return vs Porto
The latest Man Utd injury news and potential return dates ahead of the Europa League fixture vs FC Porto.
Manchester United have been handed some mixed injury news ahead of their Europa League clash with FC Porto tonight.
Harry Maguire and Kobbie Mainoo have both been included in the travelling squad for the crucial European clash, but Mason Mount will not be involved after he suffered a cut to his head in the 3-0 defeat to Tottenham last weekend.
The return of Maguire is a big boost to manager Erik ten Hag after the defender missed the Tottenham match, while Mainoo could also be involved after he limped off in the first-half of Sunday's clash. Luke Shaw is continuing his rehabilitation process after he suffered a setback in pre-season training, while Tyrell Malacia is gradually being eased back into action after such a lengthy spell on the sidelines.
Here is the latest United injury news and possible return dates ahead of the Porto clash:
Harry Maguire - 3 October vs Porto (A)
Maguire trained with the United side ahead of the trip to Portugal and could be involved in the match if Ten Hag wants to freshen up his defence.
Kobbie Mainoo - 3 October vs Porto (A)
Mainoo is also available after his injury scare at the weekend. He could start against Porto but might well be rested anyway after a poor weekend performance.
Mason Mount - 6 October vs Aston Villa (A)
Mount has not travelled to Portugal but could be involved when United return to Premier League action against Aston Villa this weekend.
Luke Shaw - 19 October vs Brentford (H)
Ten Hag hoped Shaw could be back before the October international break, but it doesn't look like happening. He could feature against Brentford later this month.
Tyrell Malacia - 19 October vs Brentford (H)
United are taking their time to ease Malacia back into action but there is hope he could return at some point this month.
Leny Yoro - 2 November vs Chelsea (H)
Yoro was initially ruled out for at least three months so he could return next month at the earliest.
