Man Utd and Arsenal FC have both been linked with a move for the teenage striker.

Manchester United and Arsenal are both set to miss out on the signature of talented teenage striker Charalampos Kostoulas in the summer transfer window.

United have prioritised the addition of a striker this summer, with the Greek wonderkid one of the names to have been linked with a move to Old Trafford. The 18-year-old enjoyed an impressive breakthrough season with Olympiacos, where he netted 12 goals in 37 appearances across all competitions.

Kostoulas is viewed as one of the most exciting Greek talents of recent times, with United just one of several sides linked with a move. Bayern Munich, Juventus, Fiorentina and Borussia Monchengladbach were also thought to be admirers of the teenage forward, but he is reportedly set to snub them all in favour of a move to Brighton instead.

United to miss out on Kostoulas

Manchester United were first linked with a move for Charalampos Kostoulas last December after they supposedly sent scouts to watch him in action. A report from The Sun claimed United scouted the striker when Olympiacos faced FC Twente in the Europa League, a game in which he was named Player of the Match.

Kostoulas shot to prominence when he helped Olympiacos win the coveted Uefa Youth League a year ago, with a stunning 3-0 victory over Milan in the final. The teenager scored five goals in eight matches as the Greek side also overcame the likes of Inter and Bayern Munich on their route to the victory.

Arsenal were also linked with a move for the young striker this summer, though a move to Brighton beckons as he looks to take the next step in his promising career. Taking to social media, transfer reporter Ben Jacobs wrote on X: “Charalampos Kostoulas is set for a Brighton medical on Wednesday. 18-year-old will join from Olympiacos for around £34m.”

Those claims were backed by transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, who also confirmed the player's imminent move to the Premier League. "After Diego Coppola deal done, Brighton also sign Charalampos Kostoulas - here we go! Deal done with Olympiacos for £34m fee as player will undergo medical this week,” he wrote online.

United and Arsenal could both compete for the same transfer targets again this summer as they each continue their search to sign a goalscorer. Viktor Gyokeres is viewed as the dream addition for Ruben Amorim, while he is currently the back up option for Mikel Arteta if they fail in their pursuit of Benjamin Sesko.
