Italian newspaper says Man United could offer new name in part swap deal for £63m Gyokeres alternative

Man United are looking to add a striker this summer to improve their goal scoring ability. It comes after a season where they were the fifth-lowest-scoring team in the Premier League.
Ruben Amorim has already bolstered his front line by adding Matheus Cunha, however, he wants to add a target-man striker too, with Viktor Gyokeres currently the front-runner to join at Old Trafford.

Man United could offer Zirkzee for Osimhen
Osimhen spent last season away from Napoli, he was on loan at Turkish side Galatasaray after failing to find a permanent transfer away last summer. Following the move to Turkey, the Nigerian had a superb season.
He netted 37 goals in 41 games for Galatasaray, he also provided eight assists for the Turkish side. Man United see him as a target this summer as they aim to fill the vacant striker spot following poor seasons for Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee.
The Nigerian has a £63m release clause, however, and Man United could struggle to fork out that asking price considering the fact that they have already spent £62.5m on Cunha, and are looking to sign Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford for around £60m.

The Dutchman scored just six goals in his first season at Old Trafford, failing to consistently perform for Ruben Amorim.
The report by the Italian outlet has said that Man United are ‘evaluating’ a move to send Zirzkee back to Italy, in an attempt to get Osimhen to Old Trafford. They could offer the 24-year-old, who is estimated to be worth around £25m, so they could offer Zirkzee plus a fee in between £30m and £40m.
Napoli no longer interested in Garnacho
As well as suggesting that Man United could be preparing an offer to send Zirkzee to Napoli, the report by Gazetta Dello Sport also included the detail that Alejandro Garnacho is no longer a target of Napoli, despite several reports linking the winger to them.
They report that “Garnacho – now on vacation in Rome, as shown on social media – is now part of the past,” putting to bed any speculation of the Argentine moving to the Italian champions in the summer.
