It has been a mixed start to the season for Manchester United's six summer signings.
After he was given a contract extension, Erik ten Hag was backed with another £182.5 million in the transfer window, though with potential add-ons the spending could rise by a further £23 million.
United recouped plenty of it with £81.7 million in sales, which too could earn a further £23 million in add-on fees, while high earners such as Anthony Martial and Raphael Varane left for free, and a number of sell-on clauses were included in those deals.
Of the six who signed, one has excelled in the first ten matches of the new season, three have struggled, and two are yet to make a competitive appearance for the club.
There is still plenty of time left before they can be fairly judged, but here is how we rate the six players United signed in the 2024 summer transfer window so far:

5. Matthijs de Ligt - £38.5 million
De Ligt started well at United before regressing in recent weeks. He's certainly got talent but it is hard to argue that he is an upgrade on Harry Maguire. 5/10 | Getty Images Photo: Getty Images

6. Manuel Ugarte - £42.2 million
Ugarte needs time to settle after a difficult start to life at his new club. There was perhaps too much pressure put on his shoulders to single-handily solve the defensive midfield issue, though we've seen little from him yet. 5/10 | Getty Images Photo: Getty Images

7. Joshua Zirkzee - £36 million
United have oddly played their most coherent attacking football with Zirkzee on the pitch, but he has lacked any notable goal threat since his debut. He's struggled in the last few matches and it is still hard to see where he fits in. 4/10 | Manchester United via Getty Images Photo: Manchester United via Getty Images
