Manchester United vs Rangers early injury news with 11 out and 7 doubtful
Manchester United lock horns with Rangers at Old Trafford in the Europa League. The Red Devils will be looking to bounce back from their 3-1 loss at home to Brighton and Hove Albion last time out.
It has been a tough start to life in England for Ruben Amorim since he was picked as the replacement for Erik ten Hag. He has the chance to bring in some players over the next couple of weeks to put his own stamp on the squad.

Starting with Rangers, the Scottish Premiership giants remain without former United winger Tom Lawrence. He has been sidelined with a hamstring injury since November and is joined in the treatment room by centre-back John Souttar, who has a groin issue, and winger Oscar Cortes.
The Gers will need to assess the versatile Dujon Sterling after he went off against Hibernian earlier this month. Meanwhile, they will also need to check on goalkeeper Jack Butland.
Danilo, Ianis Hagi, Rafael Fernandes, Rabbi Matondo are ineligible to feature due to the fact they are not in Rangers’ Europa League squad. Philippe Clement will have to make do without the quartet.
In addition, Kieron Dowell is a doubt with his future up in the air. Naraysho Kasanwirjo is unavailble with a long-term injury.

Hide AdClement has said: "No, I don't like to be the underdog (against United), to be honest. I like that my players are favourites, at least in their heads. If you're the underdog you don't take control of the game, you don't believe in yourself. I don't want my players to feel like underdogs. I want them to be like fighters who believe they can win the fight and that's what we're going to try to do."
Manchester United injury news
United are without left-back Luke Shaw and midfielder Mason Mount. They have calf and thigh problems respectively and aren’t fit.
Defensive duo Jonny Evans and Victor Lindelof are doubts for the Red Devils. The latter hasn’t been seen since the Carabao Cup clash against Tottenham Hotspur.
It would also be a surprise to see Marcus Rashford and Antony included. They are both being heavily linked with exits before the end of the transfer window.

Hide AdSpeaking after their defeat to Brighton, Amorim said: “It’s hard to explain, we have to acknowledge the moment and not going around the problem. Everybody here is underperforming, no matter what the circumstances, we are underperforming and have to accept that. It’s unacceptable to lose so many games. For any Premier League club, imagine Manchester United. So it’s a really hard moment but we have to continue, we have to continue, there is no other way. We need to suffer and continue."
He added: “The opponents are better than us in many details. That we cannot be consistent, that I’m not helping my players in the moment. It’s a hard moment, you have to acknowledge that we are in a very difficult situation, with all the bad records, as losing games at home, losing games in the Premier League, we are really underperforming and we need to win games, that’s all."
