Manchester United star included in Brighton squad ahead of transfer exit

Antony has been included in the Manchester United squad to face Brighton in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.

The 24-year-old is expected to leave United in the January transfer window with talks advancing over a proposed loan move to La Liga side Real Betis. It is understood United will subsidise his wages during the loan, though that could be enough to facilitate a signing of their own.

Antony has featured in just 13 of United's 32 games in all competitions this season and missed a glorious opportunity from the bench in their 3-1 comeback win over Southampton in midweek. The Brazilian has scored just 12 goals since he arrived for £82 million in August 2022.

In terms of other team news, Diogo Dalot was spotted arriving at Old Trafford for the match after he missed his first match of the season in midweek. The Portuguese full-back is expected to return to the starting line up, while Harry Maguire should also start after he was rested from the start against Southampton.

Toby Collyer and Joshua Zirkzee will both also hope to start after they made impressive contributions from the bench last time out and Amad Diallo seems certain to start after his hat-trick heroics.
