According to a report by AfricaFoot, the player has ‘received two offers’ over recent days. He has a year left on his contract at Old Trafford and his future is up in the air.

United have a big decision to make regarding what to do with him ahead of the new season. They risk losing him for free in June 2025 if they don’t sell him now or in January, assuming he doesn’t pen an extension anytime soon. The youngster started his career in France with spells as a youngster at Paris FC, Boulogne-Billancourt and Monaco. He moved over to England in 2019.

Hannibal has since risen up through the ranks at United and was a regular for them at various different youth levels. He made his first-team debut in May 2021 in a Premier League clash against Wolves. He has since played a further 13 matches for the Red Devils, 10 of which came in the last campaign. Birmingham City swooped for him on loan in 2022 and he was given the green light to link up with the Midlands outfit to get some experience under his belt.

Hannibal went on to play 41 matches for the Blues in all competitions and chipped in with a single goal. He also spent time in Spain last term with Sevilla but featured on only six occasions for the La Liga club.

Amid these fresh links with Copenhagen and Rangers, United boss Erik ten Hag has previously spoken of his admiration for the player and told the Manchester Evening News last year: “I think he gives a very good message to the rest of the squad that this is the demand, this has to be the standard when you are playing in a position, what you have to bring to the team, to get success.

"Especially when you're playing against possession-based teams; he is a really good fit, to give a good contribution to a good performance and to the result. I don’t think [his adaptation has been] that quick. Before I came in here, he was already in the first team, he made his debut. Last year he was on loan and this year he is making progress.

"So that's why he deserved an opportunity and I think now he's taking that opportunity. Every time he has to improve and he had to give the evidence that he is worthy of playing. But that counts for everyone, every player in the squad. There are situations where players are ahead, but it's good that the internal competition is there and hopefully it gives other players a push that they have to bring more, they have to add more. Because he did a great job for the team, he really contributed to our levels in the last two games."
