Manchester United player ratings 'effortless' 9/10 and four 'impressive' 8/10s in Leicester win
Rasmus Hojlund and Alejandro Garnacho both finally found the back of the net as Manchester United defeated Leicester 3-0 in the Premier League on Sunday night. Ruben Amorim made three changes to his starting line up with Victor Lindelof, Manuel Ugarte and Christian Eriksen brought into the side from the start.
Andre Onana was forced into an early stop to deny Jamie Vardy, and Eriksen almost opened the scoring when he fired a ferocious effort against the post. United finally took the lead when Rasmus Hojlund ended his 22-hour goal drought with a fine finish into the bottom corner after a clever through pass from Bruno Fernandes.

Hide AdThere was a huge blow at the start of the second half when the impressive Ayden Heaven was stretched off due to injury, and United saw a second goal disallowed when scorer Alejandro Garnacho was flagged offside. There was to be no stopping him a second time, though, as United doubled their lead when Garnacho fired an effort past Mads Hermansen at the near-post.
United added a third in the closing moments when Fernandes finished from the edge of the box after a clever cutback from Diogo Dalot. Here is how we rated the United players at the King Power Stadium:
Manchester United player ratings vs Leicester
Andre Onana - 7
Two good saves to deny Jamie Vardy at either end of the match. He was otherwise rarely called into action in the United goal and made comfortable saves when required.
Matthijs de Ligt - 8
A solid performance in which he commanded the backline. He won almost everything that he was faced with, both on the right and left of a back three. An incredible block to deny Facundo Buonanotte.
Victor Lindelof - 6

Hide AdA shaky mix-up with Onana that almost cost his side a goal, but he got better as the match went on and seemed to settle.
Ayden Heaven - 8
Another impressive performance before his injury. He rarely looked fazed by the occasion and was calm on the ball. He will be a huge miss in recent form.
Noussair Mazraoui - 7
He showed his versatility at wing-back and centre-back. The type of performance we have come to expect from him in a United shirt.
Bruno Fernandes - 9
It was all about Fernandes again. Two brilliant assists and a superb finish to wrap up the points in style at the end. He ran the show effortlessly and provided the moments of magic to win it.
Manuel Ugarte - 6

Hide AdA couple of wasteful efforts from a distance, but he broke up play well and made some important contributions.
Diogo Dalot - 7
An excellent assist to set-up Bruno Fernandes for the third goal of the game. One of his better displays at wing-back.
Christian Eriksen - 6
He was a creative threat and almost scored a stunning goal. His influence dwindled in the second half of the match before he was replaced.
Alejandro Garnacho - 8
He responded well to the disallowed goal by finding the back of the net again shortly afterward. A fine attacking performance as he finally ended his goal drought.
Rasmus Hojlund - 8

Hide AdAn impressive finish to finally end his goal drought. He brought his teammates into play and looked confident again. He needs to back this up after the international break.
Toby Collyer - 6
An unenviable task to fill in at right wing-back after the injury, but he did it well. He was better when moved into a central midfield role.
Harry Amass - 6
He coped well on his senior debut and got forward well. Still has a lot to learn concerning his positioning but that will come with more game time.
Casemiro - 6
Did the job required of him as United saw out the match with little fuss and held on to record a precious Premier League victory.
Joshua Zirkzee - 7

Chido Obi - N/A
It was great to see him get another chance in the first team but the match was already over by the time he came on.
