Manchester United 'keeping tabs' on £5m-rated Arsenal and Wolves transfer target ahead of January
Manchester United are back in Europa League action this week
Manchester United were beaten 3-0 at home by Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday afternoon. Bruno Fernandes was sent off in the first-half for Erik ten Hag’s side.

They are back in action on Thursday night with a Europa League away trip to FC Porto. In the meantime, here is a look at some of the latest news and rumours coming out of the club...
Winger eyed
United are ‘keeping tabs’ on the progress of Hammarby winger Bazoumana Toure, according to The Mirror. The report claims he is valued at around the £5million mark and is also on the radar of fellow Premier League sides Brighton and Hove Albion, Wolves and Arsenal ahead of the January transfer window.
Toure, who is 18-years-old, can play on either flank and is being tipped for a bright future in the game. His current club could face a battle to keep hold of him down the line amid attention from elsewhere.
He joined Hammarby earlier this year from ASEC Mimosas for just £370,000 and has since adapted well to life in Sweden. His contract expires in June 2028 meaning the Allsvenkan outfit are under no pressure to sell him anytime soon and can wait for the right offer to come in for his signature to consider letting him go.
The teenager has made 18 first-team appearances in all competitions date and has chipped in with six goals. He has also laid on three assists for his teammates.
Hammarby's sporting director Mikael Hjelmberg said earlier this week: “There are a lot of clubs coming to the match against Hacken. We need to plan for a future without him. Then if it happens this winter, next summer or even further than that – I don’t think so, we’ll see. But the longer we get to keep him the better.”
United could see Toure as someone to bolster their attacking department. However, they would need to see off competition from elsewhere if they were to lure him to Old Trafford with Brighton, Wolves and Arsenal also linked.
Goalkeeper wanted
The Red Devils are ‘watching’ Sunderland goalkeeper Anthony Patterson, claim The Sun. He has been the number one at the Stadium of Light over recent times.
Patterson may have been identified by Ten Hag as someone to compete with Andre Onana between the sticks. He is 24-years-old and has already played 130 games for the Black Cats altogether so far, as well as having a loan spell away from the North East side at Notts County as a youngster to get some experience under his belt.
Former Sunderland boss Tony Mowbray said in 2023: “Patto has the potential to go to the very top. You watch him in training, and it’s hard to beat him because he’s such a big frame. He’s got wonderful attributes for a goalkeeper – he’s very, very calm and he generally does very well at keeping the ball out of the net.
“If anything, the club has to keep progressing as fast as we can to keep our best players because what will happen is if we don’t threaten the play-offs again, or look like we can get to the Premier League, then the best players at this club are going to get taken by Premier League clubs.”
