Manchester United handed potential Marcus Rashford transfer boost as ten-year deal signed

Manchester United look to have been handed a huge boost in their plans to sell Marcus Rashford during the summer transfer window. The 27-year-old has been deemed surplus to requirements by Ruben Amorim and is available for a permanent exit over the coming months.
It is understood Rashford dreams of moving to Barcelona this summer, and he even recently spoke about his desire to play alongside Lamine Yamal. Barcelona are also understood to hold an interest in the United forward, but they had prioritised a move for Athletic Club star Nico Williams instead.

Barcelona will have to head back to the drawing board as they plan to strengthen their attack and could intensify their interest in the United forward.
Marcus Rashford transfer hope
Manchester United would prefer to sell Marcus Rashford permanently in the summer window than sanction a loan exit, and his proposed sale would provide a huge boost to their transfer plans.
United are prepared to let Rashford leave for £40 million, and the entire fee would be recognised as pure profit from a financial perspective due to his status as an academy product. It would not only greatly boost their budget but would also represent a hefty windfall when it comes to complying with various financial rules and regulations.
Rashford has not played for United since December last year after he was dropped for the Manchester derby win over Man City due to performance issues. The forward later revealed he was open to a 'new challenge' in his professional career before he joined Aston Villa on loan, which also included the option to make it permanent for £40m.

Barcelona initially showed preference for a loan deal but could be tempted to pursue a permanent transfer after they missed out on Nico Williams.
