United have been handed a fitness boost ahead of the clash after Antony returned to training on Tuesday. The Brazilian forward had missed out on last weekend’s draw with Bournemouth after he had dropped out of the final training session before the match with an unspecified injury.

Antony’s return is good news for United amid their ongoing injury crisis, which saw teenager Ethan Wheatley promoted to the senior squad for the first time in his absence.

Even after Antony’s return to training, the 18-year-old was in training once again and could be in with a chance of making the bench this weekend. Harry Amass was also pictured in the session, indicating that he could be involved as well.

Ten Hag is expected to issue an official team news update when he speaks to the press at the end of the week. The winner of United’s clash with Coventry will face either Man City or Chelsea in the FA Cup final next month.
