The match will take place at Oldham Athletic’s Boundary Park on Sunday July 28. Valencia is the latest in a line of celebrities and ex-footballers announced to be taking part in the match including former Boxing World Champion Ricky Hatton, Premier League player Danny Simpson, Love Island’s Tom Clare.

Valencia was a much loved player at Old Trafford, spending 10 years at Man Utd. During this time, he won two Premier League titles, two FA Cups, two League Cups, and the UEFA Europa League.

The charity match raises money for those affected by the 2017 Manchester Arena bombing. This is the third year the match has taken place, and the second time that Oldham Athletic has played host.
