Ex-Man Utd forward and former captain to take part in Manchester Remembers charity football game

Former Manchester United captain Antonio Valencia will be involved in a charity match in Greater Manchester this summer. The match is part of the fundraising efforts for Manchester Remembers Foundation.

Hide AdThe match will take place at Oldham Athletic’s Boundary Park on Sunday July 28. Valencia is the latest in a line of celebrities and ex-footballers announced to be taking part in the match including former Boxing World Champion Ricky Hatton, Premier League player Danny Simpson, Love Island’s Tom Clare.
Valencia was a much loved player at Old Trafford, spending 10 years at Man Utd. During this time, he won two Premier League titles, two FA Cups, two League Cups, and the UEFA Europa League.
The charity match raises money for those affected by the 2017 Manchester Arena bombing. This is the third year the match has taken place, and the second time that Oldham Athletic has played host.

Tickets are on sale for the event which takes place on Sunday July 28 2024. These are priced at £10 for adults and £5 concessions and can be purchased through the Oldham Athletic website.
