Should the Red Devils fail to land a top-four spot, their transfer spending could be significantly impacted, though it’s clear some quality new signings will be required to get the club back towards the top, especially with a new manager incoming.

With that in mind, here are the latest transfer rumours involving United:

Lewandowski alert

United are said to be considering a move for Bayern Munich superstar Robert Lewandowski this summer, according to reports in Germany.

Lewandowski is out of contract at the Allianz Arena in 2023, and Bild (via FourFourTwo) say talks over a new contract haven’t gone so well up to this point.

The report claims United are on high alert as a result, and that will excite supporters, with Lewandowski still one of the best strikers in the world.

Kamara blow

United’s hopes of landing Marseille midfielder Boubacar Kamara have been dealt a blow.

Kamara is set to become a free agent this summer, with his current Marseille contract coming to an end after this season.

United have been tipped to snap him up, but according to Foot Mercato, the Red Devils, and indeed Newcastle United, who are also linked, are said to be trailing in the race.

It’s claimed Atletico Madrid are currently at the front of the queue.

Pogba talks

Paul Pogba is still on course to leave United for free this summer, with no new contract agreed.

The midfielder has been linked with a move back to Juventus, and that is possible, according to the latest reports in Italy.

Gazzetta dello Sport report Juventus are in dialogue with Pogba over a possible return this summer.
