Man Utd are set to do business on deadline day of the January transfer window.

Manchester United are expected to complete three deals on deadline day of the January transfer window. Ruben Amorim has already added both Ayden Heaven and Patrick Dorgu to his side during the window and hopes to add at least one other player to his squad.

United are in talks to add Bayern Munich forward Mathys Tel before tonight's deadline, while Chelsea ace Christopher Nkunku is another option available to them in their search for a new forward. Amorim deployed Kobbie Mainoo as a false nine in their weekend defeat to Crystal Palace in what was a clear indication of his lack of faith in those already at the club.

United also hope to organise a couple of loan exits on deadline day as Amorim plans for the long-term future of his squad. Tyrell Malacia was not involved against Palace on Sunday afternoon after his failed loan exit to Portuguese club Benfica.

Who could United sign on deadline day

United's priority is to add a forward to their squad today. Bayern forward Tel appears the most likely option, though it is unclear what type of deal can be arranged for his signature. Tottenham had agreed a £50 million fee to sign the French teenager before he voiced concerns over a move to North London and that has set a precedent for any United deal.

Even with their business this month, United's finances are limited and they might not be able to pay a transfer fee until the end of the season. Bayern are not actively looking to sell Tel and would see little benefit in loaning him out without any guarantee over a future fee.

Chelsea forward Nkunku is another option available to Amorim on deadline day, though club sources have played down talk of a move for Aston Villa forward Leon Bailey, with the priority to add a central attacker to their squad.

Who could leave United on deadline day

United are looking to organise a loan move for Tyrell Malacia after his deal to join Benfica fell through over the loan fee. He has struggled for playing time all season and has fallen further down the pecking order following the arrival of Lecce full-back Dorgu.

United also hope to sell teenage full-back Harry Amass out on loan as he looks to gain his first proper taste of senior football. The 17-year-old is highly-rated at Old Trafford though there are concerns about his physicality.
