Hide AdRashford has not featured for United in over a month and has only been named in one of their previous nine matchday squads after he admitted he was ‘ready for a new challenge.’ United have been open to letting the academy graduate leave the club this month, though there is a growing belief he could stay at Old Trafford amid a lack of serious transfer interest in his signature.
The forward could return to action when they host the Scottish giants on Thursday night and is in contention to be named on the bench at Old Trafford. When asked if he was let down by the absence of Rashford, Amorim told reporters last weekend: "No. It is his choice. I don’t want to focus this bad moment because in this games we lost, Rashford is not here. I don't want to put this moment on Rashford. Rashford is out of this moment because he is not playing. No matter what, I am not going to put a player I don’t believe is the best for the team."
Alejandro Garnacho, Antony and Tyrell Malacia all took part in the session amid continued speculation over their respective futures at the club, while Victor Lindelof was also present following his recent injury absence. Luke Shaw, Mason Mount and Jonny Evans were the only three senior players not spotted taking part in the session.
Amorim could give an official team news update when he holds his pre-match press conference on Wednesday afternoon.
