Manchester United confirmed squad vs Newcastle as big Marcus Rashford decision made
The confirmed team news and early line up hint as Man Utd face Newcastle United in the Premier League.
Marcus Rashford has been included in the Manchester United squad for their clash against Newcastle in the Premier League.
Ruben Amorim is certain to make at least two changes to his starting line up from the side that lost to Wolves last time out, with Bruno Fernandes and Manuel Ugarte both suspended for the match on Monday night.
The double suspension blow leaves Ruben Amorim short on senior options, with forward Rashford set to be named on the bench at the very least against Eddie Howe's side. Rashford has missed the last four matchday squads since he was omitted from the Manchester derby win over Man City.
Amorim has reiterated he still sees a future for Rashford at Old Trafford and that his recent omissions have been due to ‘selection’ reasons rather than any disciplinary matter. Two days after he missed the derby win over Man City, the forward revealed he was ‘ready for a new challenge’ after two decades at the club.
United’s injury shortage also sees Toby Collyer keep his place in the matchday squad, while Godwill Kukonki has also been spotted arriving at Old Trafford ahead of the match.
Manchester United confirmed squad members: Andre Onana, Altay Bayindir, Tom Heaton, Diogo Dalot, Noussair Mazraoui, Matthijs de Ligt, Harry Maguire, Leny Yoro, Lisandro Martinez, Godwill Kukonki, Toby Collyer, Christian Eriksen, Kobbie Mainoo, Casemiro, Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho, Antony, Amad, Rasmus Hojlund, Joshua Zirkzee.
