Mason Mount will return to the Manchester United side for their Premier League clash with Burnley this weekend.

Erik ten Hag's side are back in action when they host The Clarets at Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon and have been handed a huge fitness boost for the clash.

Mount had only just returned from a three-month injury absence before he suffered a setback before United's FA Cup final clash with Coventry City. He has only started seven times across all competitions.

The 25-year-old scored his first goal for the club against Brentford last month, making three further appearances off the bench before injury struck again.

Mount is not expected to start when United face Burnley in the Premier League tomorrow, but Ten Hag has confirmed that he should be involved in the squad.

Asked if there was any positive injury news ahead of the match, he told reporters. "No. Same squad, apart from Mason Mount, he will return to the squad."

When pressed on the situation surrounding a number of longer-term injuries, he confirmed that he hoped to see all of them back in action before the end of the campaign. "Yes, I think so," he replied, when asked specifically about Shaw, Martinez and Martial. "I think we are all going to see them [again] in this season.

"They returned, all three onto the pitch. Next week, they have to make a step into team training and we think they can be available for the last weeks [of the season]. They are progressing well.”
