Man Utd have continued their recruitment overhaul at youth level with the addition of another top talent.

Manchester United have completed the signing of teenage winger Samuel Lusale from Crystal Palace after they received Premier League ratification over the move.

The 17-year-old agreed a move to United during the summer transfer window but was unable to train with his teammates until the move was rubberstamped by the relevant authorities.

Lusale has now officially joined the club along with teenage full-back James Overy, who caught the eye of United scouts following his exit from Australian side Perth Glory.

Former Palace forward Lusale played in Slovakia's three group games at the Under-17 European Championship in May and was in Palace's FA Youth Cup squad last season. He and Overy are now in contention to make their debuts for United and are both expected to feature at U18s level across the current campaign.

Lusale and Overy both signed their contracts this week, with the former pictured posing at Old Trafford with a United shirt that displayed his name and the iconic No.7 he will hope to wear during his time at the club.

Earlier in the week, Lusale thanked Crystal Palace for all their support ahead of his move to Manchester. “My journey with Crystal Palace comes to an end and a new door opens," he wrote on Instagram. "I will always remember the memories I made at Palace, and without them, I wouldn’t be where I am today. But now, we move on to the next chapter.”

United are also set to announce the signing of Arsenal wonderkid Chido Obi-Martin in the coming weeks.
