According to Corriere dello Sport via SportWitness, the Red Devils have ‘already made an approach’, while Arsenal have also been linked.

The problem is that reports claim Osimhen could command a fee as high as £93million, and United have a number of areas to improve.

Howe’s verdict on deal

Reports over recent days have claimed Newcastle United are close to landing goalkeeper Dean Henderson.

But according to Magpies boss Eddie Howe, a deal is not close at all.

“We’re not close to signing anybody at this moment in time,” he said in his latest press conference. “We’re not at any advanced stage with that.

“It is very difficult for me to comment on individual players because I would be giving you an answer on every target but no, that (talks with Henderson) is far from the truth.

“I’ve got half an eye on the summer, of course I have. Preparing and planning to try and make that summer as cohesive as we can and try and get everything organised.”

Dalot decision

Ten Hag has decided he will keep Diogo Dalot for next season, according to the Manchester Evening News.

Dalot has been a regular since early December, and he has managed to keep Aaron Wan-Bissaka out of the starting XI.

According to the report, that has led to ten Hag deciding he will keep Dalot, telling the full-back as much, while Wan-Bissaka will be for sale this summer.
