In the meantime, we have rounded up all the latest news surrounding Old Trafford.

Transfer focus

Fabrizio Romano has issued an update on United’s transfer plans for this summer.

“From what I’m told, Manchester United are discussing internally of signing a new midfielder in the summer. This is something that they want to do,” he said on his YouTube Channel.

“The priority target remains the centre striker but also a new midfielder is something that they are considering. For the names, it will depend on the budget because it depends on the club’s sale. So the club’s sale is crucial and then we will understand if the Glazers will still be there, if there will be a new owner, how much they want to invest on that position.

“This is going to be important and this is the message I’m receiving to understand how much money Manchester United will do with the sales of the player. They need to offload players, sell players and then in that moment they will understand how much they can invest on the striker and on the midfielder.”

Garnacho boost

United could be set for an injury boost in the next couple of weeks.

The Red Devils have seen injuries pile up of late, and one of the most recent blows saw Alejandro Garnacho ruled out for a chunk if time with an ankle injury.

But the talented youngster has now posted an image of himself wearing football boots, seemingly training out on the grass for the first time since his picked up the injury. It’s likely he is working with the fitness team for now, but it’s a significant boost for the Red Devils that Garnacho is well on his way to returning.
