Jurgen Klopp has injury and suspension issues surrounding 11 Liverpool players ahead of the trip to face Manchester United.

Both clubs are in dire need of three points, with United beginning the new campaign with back-to-back defeats against Brighton & Hove Albion and Brentford, while Liverpool drew with Fulham and Crystal Palace in their opening matches.

The Red Devils have fitness concerns surrounding Victor Lindelof and Anthony Martial, but it’s Liverpool who have a plethora of absentees.

In fact, Klopp could put together a full XI of players who may be forced to sit out the game at Old Trafford on Monday.

Here’s the latest on all 11…

Caoimhin Kelleher

Hasn’t featured in a matchday squad this season due to a muscle problem, with Adrian expected to be on the bench on Monday.

Calvin Ramsay

Suffering from an injury discovered during his medical when completing a summer transfer to Liverpool. Won’t be involved at Old Trafford.

Joel Matip

Will miss out due to a groin injury which also prevented the defender from playing against Palace.

Ibrahima Konate

Not expected to play until August with a knee issue that has kept him out since pre-season.

Joe Gomez

Is expected to play on Monday, although the centre-back was deemed not fit enough to start in the 1-1 draw with Palace. He did come on in the second half.

Thiago

Picked up a hamstring injury in the opening-weekend game at Craven Cottage and it’s a problem that could keep the former Bayern Munich man out for four to six weeks.

Another injury for the Southampton youth graduate, who suffered a long-term hamstring problem in pre-season.

Diogo Jota

Another hamstring issue, and the one sustained by the Portugal attacker will prevent him playing at all this month.

Roberto Firmino

Klopp said on Monday that he might return in time for the clash with United. Should Firmino miss out then Liverpool will have to select a midfielder in an attacking position.

Darwin Nunez

Was sent off against Palace and will therefore miss three games, beginning with the trip to Old Trafford.
