Man Utd vs Burnley: When will Carabao Cup fourth round fixtures be played?

Manchester United progressed to the fourth round of the Carabao Cup after beating Aston Villa 4-2 at Old Trafford. All six goals came in the second half with Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford, Bruno Fernandes and Scott McTominay on the scoresheet for the hosts.

Erik ten Hag’s have been drawn against Burnley at home in the next round. They are currently top of the Championship following their relegation from the Premier League and have former Manchester City favourite Vincent Kompany as their manager.

United will take on the Clarets on the week commencing 19 December, with an official date to be announced in due course. This means that the match will take place only a few days after the World Cup final and just before Christmas.

The Red Devils have Fulham away in the league this weekend before a host of their players head off to Qatar.

Other fixtures?

The most eye-catching draw is City against Liverpool at the Etihad Stadium. This is a boost for United as it means if they can get past Burnley they have one fewer dangerous opponent to worry about.

In-form Newcastle United will take on their boss Eddie Howe’s former club Bournemouth at home, whilst Nottingham Forest will face Blackburn Rovers away. All clashes in full are:
