Rangnick was spotted on Thursday by fans on a visit to the stadium.

He will take on his first official public appearance at 9am tomorrow when he leads the press conference, and it is anticipated he will be in the dugout for the home tie against Crystal Palace at 2pm on Sunday.

Rangnick, who will be the interim boss til the end of the season before continuing in a consultancy role, previously said: “Rangnick looked forward to working with our squad and enjoying success this season: “I am excited to be joining Manchester United and focused on making this a successful season for the club. The squad is full of talent and has a great balance of youth and experience. “All my efforts for the next six months will be on helping these players fulfil their potential, both individually and, most importantly, as a team. Beyond that, I look forward to supporting the club’s longer-term goals on a consultancy basis.”
