Hide AdThe Red Devils head into the Old Trafford clash on the back of Tuesday’s Champions League loss to Galatasaray, while United have been beaten in their last two Premier League home matches. It’s a run that has left the side in 10th place after seven matches, and Ten Hag will be desperate to take three points ahead of a two-week pause for October’s international break.
The Dutchman has had to play Sofyan Amrabat at left-back in the last three games, with Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia long-term absentees and Reguilon suffering from a knock. It was hoped the on-loan Tottenham Hotspur man would be back in time for Saturday's game, but Ten Hag revealed in Friday's press conference that will not be the case.
However, youngster Kobbie Mainoo could be back in contention. The teenager has not featured since a pre-season injury he suffered in a friendly against Real Madrid. But Mainoo was back in full training on Monday and, while not deemed ready to return against Galatasaray, could make his comeback this weekend.

Jadon Sancho remains unavailable since his public disagreement with Ten Hag, but Antony returned in midweek and Ten Hag said he is an option to start in the wide areas on Saturday, while Casemiro is eligible to play as his midweek dismissal will only result in a Champions League ban.
As for Brentford, they’re also without several key players. Rico Henry, Mikkel Damsgaard and Kevin Schade all underwent surgery for respective issues last week, while Ivan Toney remains suspended.
Defender Ben Mee has not played since 16 September due to a knock, Shandon Baptiste is out with a shoulder problem and Josh Dasilva is still recovering from a hamstring injury, bringing Thomas Frank’s list of absentees up to seven ahead of the trip to Old Trafford.
