Victor Lindelof and Diogo Dalot were both involved in Manchester United training ahead of the club’s Premier League clash with Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The pair, who weren’t seen in Thursday’s video, were spotted in Friday’s edition on the club’s official website. Lindelof missed the midweek win over Nottingham Forest through illness, while Dalot has struggled with a hamstring injury since returning from the World Cup, which has forced him to miss both United games.

However, the pair’s inclusion at Carrington on Friday suggests they may be available for the New Year’s Eve clash at Molineux. Aaron Wan-Bissaka has deputised for Dalot in the past two games, and could do so again if required against Wolves. As for centre-back, Harry Maguire and Lisandro Martinez have also returned to training this week, meaning Lindelof might not be rushed back against Julen Lopetegui’s side.

However, one player who looks unlikely to play in the West Midlands is Scott McTominay. Like Lindelof, he was forced to sit out the win over Forest due to a virus he picked up, and the midfielder was not seen during Thursday or Friday’s training sessions.

Given Casemiro and Christian Eriksen have firmly established themselves as Erik ten Hag’s ideal pairing in midfield, even if fit, it looks unlikely that McTominay will start against Wolves. Elsewhere, Axel Tuanzebe and Jadon Sancho are the only two confirmed absentees for United.

A win for the Red Devils would see them end 2022 inside the Champions League places, with fourth-place Tottenham Hotspur not playing until New Year’s Day when they host Aston Villa.
