Diogo Dalot, Victor Lindleof and Scott McTominay were not pictured in Manchester United’s latest training video ahead of Saturday’s Premier League encounter against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The trio missed the Red Devils’ last outing, a 3-0 home win over Nottingham Forest, and are therefore major doubts for the trip to Molineux. All three were not seen in United’s latest training video and gallery, which were published on the club’s website, presumably from Thursday’s session.

Dalot picked up a hamstring injury during the World Cup and is not expected to return for a few weeks, so his omission from training was not a surprise. However, Lindleof and McTominay missing from team drills is more of a concern, with both not available for the win over Forest due to illness.

Harry Maguire was also impacted by a virus in the United camp which forced him to sit out the Carabao Cup victory against Burnley and restricted him to a spot on the bench during Tuesday’s Premier League encounter with Forest. However, he was seen in training and could be an option when United take on Wolves at the weekend.

So could Lisandro Martinez, who returned to Carrington earlier this week following his success with Argentina at the World Cup. Raphael Varane was also training, as was young centre-back Rhys Bennett. Jadon Sancho wasn’t part of the group captured by the club photographers, with the former Borussia Dortmund man still working on an individual training programme and not set to feature against Wolves.

It is, of course, possible that any of the aforementioned absentees were working away from the main group at Carrington, and could return in time for the trip to Molineux. Erik ten Hag’s side would move into the top four with a win in the West Midlands, with Tottenham Hotspur not in action until New Year’s Day when they host Aston Villa.
