All the latest news and transfer rumours surrounding Manchester United as the first pre-season friendly of the summer comes into focus.

Manchester United are hard at work preparing for the new season as they look to enter the Premier League title conversation. Erik ten Hag managed to achieve relative success last season, securing Champions League football for this campaign, but as the club spends more on new signings, another step forward will be expected.

Mason Mount has already joined the Ten Hag revolution, and more new signings are expected to arrive over the course of the coming weeks. With that in mind, we have rounded up all the latest transfer news and rumours surrounding Old Trafford.

Hojlund boost

United have been handed a boost in their reported bid to land Atalanta star Rasmus Hojlund. According to Corriere dello Sport, Hojlund has already ‘promised himself’ to United, currently waiting and hoping the two clubs can agree a deal. Recent reports have claimed Atalanta want more than £50million despite signing the striker for less than £20million only last summer.

Hojlund appears to be the most likely striker signing for United this summer, with Harry Kane and Victor Osimhen both seemingly out of reach due to their mammoth price tags. Hojlund is likely to cost around £50million less than both players.

Henderson decision

United are said to be keen to hold off on selling Dean Henderson this summer. The Red Devils are short in the goalkeeping department after waving goodbye to David De Gea, while Tom Heaton is also being heavily linked with a move away.

Henderson is also expected to leave, but Football Insider are saying the English star will not be sold until United find a new starting goalkeeper, and they may even need a back-up keeper if they are to sell both Heaton and Henderson. For now, Henderson, who was on loan with Nottingham Forest last season, is training with United with his future still in the air.
