Man Utd's 'stance' on £50m signing's future amid Al-Nassr interest

Reports of interest in the Man Utd defender from the Saudi Pro League surfaced on Tuesday.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka is attracting interest from several clubs this month but reports suggest Manchester United have no intention of selling him.

The right-back has been linked with a move away in recent weeks, with Saudi Arabia tipped as a potential destination. Al-Nassr are thought to be readying a bid for Wan-Bissaka after seeing their approaches for Tottenham's Emerson Royal knocked back.

Such reports follow claims earlier this week that the club had turned down a swap deal from Inter Milan which would see Denzel Dumfries sent to Old Trafford in exchange for the former Crystal Palace man. Palace and West Ham are also thought to have made enquiries this month.

And now talkSPORT has detailed United's stance, reporting that they have no plans to sell or loan out Wan-Bissaka this month. The 26-year-old remains a crucial part of Erik ten Hag's squad and is the only competitor to Diogo Dalot at right-back.

Despite the easing of United's fixture schedule due to Champions League and Carabao Cup elimination, Ten Hag is still insistent on having senior cover in every position and intends to keep Wan-Bissaka with the group.

The right-back's contract was due to expire in the summer but United recently opted to activate a 12-month extension, also doing so for Victor Lindelof and Hannibal Mejbri - who has since joined Spanish side Sevilla on loan.

It is unclear whether Wan-Bissaka's long-term future will be at Old Trafford and he has seemingly fallen behind Dalot in the pecking order. United have identified right-back as a key area to strengthen and there was concrete interest in Bayer Leverkusen's Jeremie Frimpong last summer - that will likely have remained, given his form with the Bundesliga side with five goals and six assists in 18 league appearances.

Wan-Bissaka has started just 10 Premier League matches so far this season and his campaign was hampered by a two-month absence due to a hamstring injury. He had been linked with a return to Palace last January, although a move never materialised as United had European football and both cups to contend with at that point.
