Defender latest

Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite won’t be distracted by transfer rumours, with United believed to be keen on luring him to Old Trafford this summer. The ex-Carlisle United man, who spent time on loan at PSV last term to get some experience, has impressed for the Toffees in this campaign.

The Merseyside outfit could face a battle to keep him in the next transfer window. Dyche has said, as per a report by the Daily Mail: "There won’t be a problem with that. He’s come in, hasn’t changed, loads of good reviews and rightly so since he came back (from PSV), lots of man of the match awards.

"He’s signed a new deal, don't forget, been with the Under 21s and been pretty steady among all that. But you do want him to change in a positive way, come out of himself more and keep thriving on it, building his own on-pitch persona.”

United are showing ‘interest’ in OGC Nice goalkeeper Marcin Bulka along with La Liga giants Real Madrid, according to a report by Spanish news outlet Fichajes. The 24-year-old is a Poland international with one cap under his belt so far and could be seen as someone to compete with Andre Onana.

He has been with Nice since making the move to the south of France in 2021 on an initial loan deal that was later made permanent and has made the number one spot his own there. The stopper was on the books at Chelsea from 2016 to 2019 but didn’t make a senior appearance for the London outfit.
