Olmo race

United are thought to have joined the race for highly-rated RB Leipzig winger Dani Olmo. The Daily Mail reports that they are among four Premier League clubs eyeing the Spaniard, with Manchester City, Chelsea and Tottenham also keen.

Olmo has struggled for regular football at Leipzig this season, starting just 11 Bundesliga games. But the 25-year-old has been consistently impressive for the German side since joining them in 2019 and a £52million release clause that becomes active this summer has caught the eye of potential suitors.

United are expected to strengthen in wide positions and could turn to Olmo in a bid to ease their woes in that position. Only Alejandro Garnacho has enjoyed a positive campaign so far, with Antony and Marcus Rashford both disappointing.

Kimmich latest

Those in charge at United have reportedly stepped up interest in Bayern Munich midfielder Joshua Kimmich. Spanish outlet Sport reports that the Bayern Munich star has become a 'priority' to replace the ageing Casemiro.

Kimmich will enter the final 12 months of his contract at Bayern this summer, with the lack of intention to sign a new one making an exit likely. The 29-year-old is wanted by just about every top team in Europe but United are thought to be pushing.

Casemiro turned 32 last month and is one of few players who could be sold to raise funds this summer, with Kimmich tipped as the Brazilian's successor. The report suggests a move for the midfielder will cost around €50m (£42.75m).
