The result, courtesy of goals from Marcus Rashford, Antony, Alejandro Garnacho and Christian Eriksen acts as a huge confidence builder for the Red Devils after a lacklustre start to the campaign.

However, greater battles lay ahead for Manchester United if they are once again going to establish themselves as a real force to be reckoned with in the league, and one player that could help them achieve that goal is Juventus frontman Dusan Vlahovic.

Football Transfers, via TeamTalk, understands that the recently appointed assistant coach Ruud van Nistelrooy is seemingly of the opinion that the club don’t have enough talent up top despite having signed both Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee in recent transfer windows.

Vlahovic, like van Nisterlrooy, is a striker that is often described as a real poacher with excellent movement in and around the penalty area.

He burst onto the scene after moving from local side Partizan Belgrade to Fiorentina, and after a 21-goal season in Serie A was the subject of a huge bidding between Arsenal and Chelsea before eventually opting to stay in Italy with Juventus in January 2022.

Since making the £66.6m move to Juventus, Vlahovic has consistently treated fans to plenty of goals, with a total of 35 in 79 league appearances for the Old Lady.

The Serbian, who boasts a record of 13 goals in 30 appearances at international level, has twice been named in the Serie A Team of the Season and was recently the recipient of the league’s Best Striker award, following in the footsteps of many famous names, including Victor Osimhen, Ciro Immobile and Red Devils legend Cristiano Ronaldo.

Still only 24-years-old, Vlahovic is seen as the type of player that would suit English football due to his tremendous physicality, aerial ability and instinct to get into the right areas. At this stage, he is under contract until the summer of 2026, meaning Manchester United could make a move before he enters the final season of his contract.
