Man Utd predicted XI gallery vs Leeds - one change to line-up with goal-shy attacker dropped

Manchester United are expected to name another strong team on Sunday at Elland Road.

Erik ten Hag is expected to name a similar team on Sunday against Leeds United from the one which started in midweek against the same opposition.

Scott McTominay, Antony and Anthony Martial are still absent for Manchester United, Ten Hag confirmed ahead of the game, with Casemiro suspended and Christian Eriksen and Donny van de Beek long-term absentees.

It means Ten Hag doesn’t have many options to change, although he may opt to start with Jadon Sancho in attack. The former Borussia Dortmund man came off the bench in Wednesday’s draw and scored the equalising goal for United.

Ten Hag praised Sancho after the game, and he could be rewarded with a start against Leeds, although Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho offer stiff competition in the wide areas. An alternative could be to select all three from the off at Elland Road and play Rashford centrally.

That would likely see Wout Weghorst dropped after he has failed to score in his last four and has netted just once in seven since joining on loan from Burnley.

Elsewhere, Ten Hag could have a difficult choice at right-back if Aaron Wan-Bissaka is available again. The defender had started every Premier League game since the World Cup prior to midweek, when illness kept him out and resulted in Diogo Dalot starting. The Portugal international was solid yet unspectacular at Old Trafford against Leeds, while Wan-Bissaka’s levels have dropped in recent weeks, meaning it could be a tough choice for Ten Hag.

With all that in mind, here’s how United could line up on Sunday…
