Man Utd predicted line-up vs Brighton: Four changes amid defensive injury crisis - gallery

Manchester United have just one centre-back available for Sunday’s FA Cup semi-final.

Manchester United will be aiming to bounce back from their midweek European disappointment when they face Brighton & Hove Albion in the FA Cup semi-final on Sunday.

The Red Devils put in one of their worst displays of the season as they lost 3-0 to Sevilla and crashed out of the Europa League. Thursday’s game was one to forget for Erik ten Hag, as was the previous meeting with Brighton earlier this campaign.

United were beaten 2-1 on the opening weekend of the Premier League season as Ten Hag’s stewardship began on a disappointing note. A lot has changed for both clubs since then, but United’s penchant for capitulating in high-pressure matches remains a concern for Ten Hag.

The Dutchman will, however, be boosted by the return of Bruno Fernandes at Wembley after he missed the Sevilla match through suspension, although Harry Maguire will sit out Sunday’s game with a one-match ban in the FA Cup. The United captain’s absence will cause a reshuffle in defence with Victor Lindelof the club’s only fit, natural centre-back.

Anthony Martial is also a fitness doubt after he was withdrawn against Sevilla, while it’s not clear whether Marcus Rashford is ready to start. The England international came back into the team in midweek following a two-match absence due to a muscular injury, but he struggled to get into the game in Seville.

Ten Hag will also have to decide who to play at right-back, with the former Ajax boss flitting between Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Diogo Dalot in recent weeks.

With that in mind, here’s how we think United will line up against Brighton...
