Man Utd predicted line-up v West Ham: Two changes from Liverpool draw - gallery

Diogo Dalot’s suspension means there will be at least one alteration for Manchester United.

Manchester United will have enjoyed a rare six-day break before their next outing against West Ham United.

Excluding international breaks, that’s the longest gap in fixtures the Red Devils have had since the last week of August and Erik ten Hag will therefore hope his squad feel refreshed before the trip to the London Stadium this weekend. The Dutchman will also hope for a few players to be back for the game and Victor Lindelof, Christian Eriksen, Mason Mount and Anthony Martial could all possibly return from injury and illness.

The quartet missed United’s last game: the credible draw away to Liverpool. Ten Hag’s side defended admirably at Anfield, but lacked creativity in the offensive areas. Bruno Fernandes’ return from suspension on Saturday could address the latter, even if his reckless approach to pressing can often leave his fellow midfielders exposed.

The Portugal international picked up a booking in the latter stages of the recent loss to Bournemouth which resulted in an automatic one-game ban, but the midfielder is available for the clash against the Hammers.

But it’s Diogo Dalot who will be suspended on Saturday after he received a late red card against Liverpool. It means Aaron Wan-Bissaka is expected to be selected at right-back. In midfield, there will also be a choice of whether to drop Sofyan Amrabat or Kobbie Mainoo for the returning Fernandes, while Marcus Rashford could be left out of the starting XI for a fifth consecutive game.

With all that in mind, here’s how we’re expecting Ten Hag to line up for United’s trip to the London Stadium...
