Man Utd predicted line-up v Copenhagen: Two changes from Sheff Utd win - gallery

Despite winning their last two matches, Manchester United have failed to impress.

Erik ten Hag could be considering several changes to his Manchester United side for Tuesday’s Champions League clash against Copenhagen.

The Red Devils host the Danish champions after suffering defeats in both of the opening two group-stage matches against Bayern Munich and Galatasaray, leaving Ten Hag’s side bottom of Group A. It means taking three points could be imperative for United's chances of progressing to the next round.

Despite winning their last two in the Premier League, United have not impressed in wins over Brentford and Sheffield United. Defensive errors nearly handed the Bees a win before the international break, while so much of United’s attacking play was ponderous and disjointed at Bramall Lane.

Antony and Marcus Rashford provided little in the wide areas, and both were replaced in the second period. Alejandro Garnacho offers an alternative if Ten Hag wants to make alterations in the offensive positions, with the young winger looking bright after coming off the bench in the last two matches. Bruno Ferandes has also played out wide this season, while Facundo Pellistri started the Bayern match in September.

In midfield, Casemiro’s absence is a blow for Ten Hag, with the Brazilian suspended following his red card against Galatasaray in the last outing. The United boss faced questions about Christian Eriksen’s lack of game time in Monday’s press conference, with the ex-Tottenham Hotspur man an option to start in midfield, along with Sofyan Amrabat, Scott McTominay, Mason Mount, Hannibal and Fernandes.

Ten Hag also said Sergio Reguilon could be back following a recent injury, but a late fitness test will determine whether the left-back is involved at Old Trafford or not. We’re tipping Ten Hag to make two changes for the midweek match, and here’s how he could line up...
