Man Utd predicted line-up to face Watford - two changes expected with decisions on Maguire, Elanga & Rashford

The Red Devils will be looking to end the month strongly and win a third league game in a row.

Ralf Rangnick will be without Scott McTominay and Edinson Cavani for Manchester United’s Premier League clash against Watford on Saturday.

It means the interim manager will have to select a similar starting XI at Old Trafford to the one which began in Madrid on Wednesday night.

United came from behind to earn a 1-1 draw against Atletico, but for the second game in a row the Red Devils’ fortunes were impacted by substitutes coming off the bench.

It’s likely that at least one of those, Anthony Elanga, will earn a starting place when United take on Watford, following Rangnick’s positive comments in midweek.

“He is playing as though it is a dream come true, it is a joy and fun to watch him play, I wish a few other players would take him as an example and as a role model,” Rangnick said after the Champions League first leg.

“Football is an important sport, even more so for the supporters, and it is a ball game. This is what I wish us to do, especially in the second leg."

But attack is not the only area where Rangnick has a decision to make. He’ll almost certainly make a change in defence after Victor Lindelof’s odd selection at right-back on Wednesday, while the German may opt to rotate at left-back as well.

United’s midfield has looked more compact after the introduction of a defensive-minded player in the centre in each of the last two games, and that might also alter his thinking for Saturday’s encounter.

We’ve had a look at how we suspect Rangnick will line up at Old Trafford against the Hornets…
