Defender interest

United wing-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka is attracting plenty of interest this month and his team have a decision to make on what to do with him in this January transfer window. As detailed in a report by The Athletic, he is being eyed by ‘several’ other clubs. He has managed to get himself back into the side over recent games having previously fallen down the pecking order.

Goalkeeper relaxed

David de Gea is relaxed about his future at Old Trafford. The goalkeeper sees his current deal expire at the end of this season by there is an option to extend his stay by a further 12 months. He has been playing in England since 2011 and has said, as per the Evening Standard: “I’m very relaxed. I just focus on training, perform as best as I can. But, for sure, it’s going to end in a good way. I hope (to stay for the rest of my career). I was saying this is my club, I’ve been here many, many years and it’s a huge honour to be here and I’m so happy here.”

Midfielder latest

United midfielder Donny van de Beek went off injured against Bournemouth. Erik ten Hag has admitted it is too early to discover the true extent of his problem. The boss has told the official club website: “We have to wait and then you can make the right diagnosis, so the medical team have to do their work. But it doesn’t look great. What has happened to Donny is bad, in the first place, for Donny but also bad news for Manchester United, if it is a bad injury.”
