Defender eyed

Inter Milan have reportedly made an ‘enquiry’ about the availability of United defender Harry Maguire, as per the Daily Mail. The Serie A club are keen to land the former Sheffield United man on loan to bolster their options at the back ahead of the second-half of the season.

Maguire has fallen out of favour at Old Trafford and has seen his game time dry up over recent times, mainly due to the form of players such as Lisandro Martinez. He was at the World Cup earlier this winter with the England national team.

Striker to leave

United striker Charlie McNeill is heading to Newport County on a temporary basis until the end of the campaign, according to the Manchester Evening News. The youngster has been linked with a few Football League clubs this winter including Ipswich Town and Blackpool.

However, he has now ‘agreed’ to drop into League Two to get some regular game time under his belt to help boost his development. The 19-year-old is a former England youth international and has played one senior match for the Red Devils so far in his career against Real Sociedad in the Europa League earlier this term.
