Besiktas are interested in a potential swoop for United midfielder Hannibal Mejbri, according to a report by Turkish news outlet Fotospor. The 20-year-old, who has made 24 caps for the Tunisia national team in his career to date, has played three times for the Red Devils’ first-team and continues to be down the pecking order in his position. He spent last term on loan in the Championship with Birmingham City and was a hit during his time with the Midlands club as he got plenty of game time under his belt.

Winger wanted

United winger Jadon Sancho is being linked with a switch to Saudi Arabia with Al-Ettifaq reportedly keen on a possible transfer. According to CBS Sports, Steven Gerrard’s side are in ‘discussions’ about a loan switch for the former Manchester City man as they look to further bolster their attacking options.

They have already signed Jordan Henderson from Liverpool and Demerai Gray from Everton recently, as well as the likes of Georginio Wijnaldum, Moussa Dembele and Jack Hendry. Sancho, who is 23-years-old, moved to Old Trafford in 2021 from Borussia Dortmund and has since made 82 appearances in all competitions, chipping in with 12 goals.

Defender proud

Jonny Evans came off the bench in United’s last outing against Arsenal and is proud to be back. He was snapped up on a free transfer to add more depth to the defensive department. He has said, as per the Belfast Telegraph: “It was obviously an amazing experience and feeling to put the shirt back on again and get back on the pitch.

“I wasn’t expecting to come on but we’ve a few injuries in defence so my second debut as you call it probably came about quicker than expected.”
